Gigolo and Gigolette Wake Up To Find Their Eyes Are Wet

Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo is #4 on Fametracker's Ten Least Essential Summer Films, which reminds me: Wasn't Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo redundant? I mean, aren't Gigolos male by definition?

(Little bit o' use-mention confusion there, perhaps, but everyone already knew the movie was redundant. I meant the title.)

How is the movie itself redundant? Don't you simply mean "stupid"?

Good Lord, I hope you're not under the impression I've seen it. An offhand comment in a class at Utah ("Just because you can make a movie starring Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck doesn't mean it's a good idea"--it was totally relevant to some point or other) led to no end of rumors that I'd seen Gigli, which is deeply false. And also, possibly, the female form of Gigolo.

Stupid and completely unnecessary was what I was thinking (there was an episode of Get A Life with a similar premise--I did see part of that).

And what exactly do you mean by "deeply false"? So you've seen the new Deuce Bigalo? ;)

You know exactly what I mean, Linda.

Hm, I noticed that I used "deeply" twice in my original comment. I'm going to go change the first one to "totally."

You know, I have occasionally thought of instituting an occasional recurring blog thing where I review movies I've never seen. My own personal favorite is "Pretty Woman," followed by the ouvre of Demi Moore.
