Report of an Incident

When I attempted to drive off to watch the Steelers game, the wheels on the car just spun on the ice. I went back into the house to ask my parents if they had any sand or anything to put down by the wheel. My father said that he had a couple of tricks to get a car moving off of snow. He spun the wheels forward a bit, and then reversed the car off the snow and pulled it out into the street. "What did you do?" I asked. He replied, "I took the brake off."

did he know the brake was on when he went outside to help you? if he did, then i believe you reserve the right to tell him he looks like a jagoff in dose pants n'at or similar pittsburghese.

No, I was the one who had put the brake on the night before. So I can't even plead "I live in Flatsville and had forgotten parking brakes existed."

The other hidden piece of information here is that he (Matt's dad) never uses the parking brake. So he didn't spin the wheels first, then take off the brake, because he was trying to show Matt up. He did that because he had forgotten parking brakes existed.

P.S. How did I know about Matt's dad and the parking brake? You all would not believe what you can find in these new NSA databases!

I still think sand was a better idea.
