My school e-mail spam-filters messages from my personal e-mail.

for some reason that sentence is impossible to parse. is it a school e-mail that spam-filters? or a school that filters email spam? also i don't understand how either of those things could happen. help me before my head explodes.

I took it whenever Matt sends an email from his personal account to his school account, the email gets filtered by the anti-spam filters on his school email account. I here you'll be visiting us in ATX, Matt.

Or rather I hear. Dammit.

Aidan gets it [and hears] right -- or rather it used to, since I put myself on my "not spammers" list. Actually this may only have happened once, to a message that consisted of the word "attached" and an attachment -- OTOH that's the only kind of message I'd have occasion to send from my personal account to my school account.

'since' means "I say 'it used to', since I have now put myself on the 'not spammers' list," not "It did after I put myself on the 'not spammers' list," which would be perverse.
