Gettier Cases in Superbad

Just to make it clear that posts with any colorable philosophical content will go on this blog rather than the other one, I present a Gettier case from the end of Superbad. SPOILER below the fold:

At the end the kids all think Fogel is a badass because he's being dragged off by the cops. But the cops are dragging him off because he asked them to, in order to make the kids think he's a badass. But, as he's shown in the course of the movie, he really is a badass in pretty much the way that they think he is.

In fact, the only reason he's in position to ask the cops to drag him off is that he's been being badass with the cops all night. So arguably the kids' perception of him as badass is caused by his badassery, so we have yet another counterexample to causal theories of knowledge.
