I Must Make Amends

Mom sent me a stiff note concerning my dis of Paul McCartney in the last post. So to be fair, I should say that it was not at all unpleasant to have "Hey Jude" running through my head for a while (alternating with the not unpleasant accordion music). He really is/was great (I haven't liked most of what he's done since the Beatles, but he probably gets lifetime greatness status for that.)

Well, you see, Paul was the CUTE Beatle. Sigh. I liked John better, though, then.

You didn't like "baby I'm amazed" (I don't know if that is the actual name of the song but that's how it starts)? That was such a great song.

"Maybe I'm Amazed." That's good. So is "Live and Let Die," and "Veronica," and "Let 'Em In" is nice, and "Ebony and Ivory" is good (tho' it sounds more like Stevie then Paul--ditto for "Veronica" I guess.) Still, that's not much for 30 years of post-Beatles work.
