An article comparing free jazz and scholarly law blogs.

Hmm--law blogs might be like the study of the Talmud, which (in my ignorant and secular view) is more about honoring the text through intricate attention than about establishing the one true path. Since the link is to "A Blog Supreme," it gives me the opening for this timely question: isn't the soundtrack for "Dreamgirls" notes for a Supremes fiction?

Methinks Professor Bracey strains the metaphor too much.

Or rather, he seems to imply that, in searching for an analogy for online legal scholarship, free jazz works particularly well. I fail to see why someone can't also use other musical forms (or, for that matter, other forms of artistic expression) to make the same point.
